The Rock Nest is a specialty feature of Crystal Cove.  It is an earth-stone terrace and sculpture, 10ft x 5ft x 6ft, made of soil and mortarless megalithic stone.   The terrace acts as a turret on the landscape, giving the entire Cove below a strong castle vibe.  With ingenuity I found and positioned 4 perfect boulders alongside & spliced between the existent megalithic stones on the hillside, to build a wall I then filled with soil.
This creates an ideal semicircular stone terrace shape & bed, that has the look and proportions of a stone giant's foot bursting out of the land.
